Everything happens in threes.
BEAUTIFUL! BEAUTIFUL!
硫黄島からの手紙 is the the best!
tho i only managed to fully concentrate at the 1 h 45th min of it. as i was watching, i cant help but connect to arashi. haha! ohmiya, that's where Saigo lives. OHMIYA! then he was a baker. anpan! reminded me of arashi in mags baking, and there was also ohmiya baking.. and Saigo was saying he wished he was a fisherman instead. FISHERMAN=OHNO! ohmiya! (tho at that time, i think ohno wasnt into fishing yet). there's a character called hayashi. hayashi rice from ryusei!
this is like the most beautiful war movie i've ever watched. wait, have i ever watched any war movies? nonetheless, NICE!
i really pity Saigo, having to witness the death of his buddies. and those deaths were uncalled for. (im glad Saigo didnt die)
i love how Saigo admires General Kuribayashi, and how General always recognizes Saigo. the scene where General shot himself right in front of Saigo is really damn touching. the moment the gun went off, Saigo's tears were streaming. omgdness!
i love how nino is 'incorporated' into the movie, to act along side watanabe-san, such that he doesnt appear so extra in the movie, tho his character is purely fictitious. ahh. love!
nishi, the one always with his horse, is also kakoii ne! heh..
and of course! i love his bozu hairstyle.. <3!
letters from iwo ima is love!
